Phlebotomy (PHB) Course

Cardinal Institute for Health Careers Phlebotomy training program is designed to instruct students in a specific laboratory skill set that is in demand in the health care market. Potential employment sites include hospital laboratories, outpatient service centers, physician practices, and various other health care facilities.

Program Hours:

The PHB education program is approximately 200 total clock hours, divided as:

Indirect Hours

  • 52 hours of classroom instruction;

  • 48 hours of skilled techniques;

Direct Hours

  • Up to100 hours during which 100 mandatory un-aided blood draws are performed and verified by the Supervisor.
